Spreading Joy: Honoring Lindsay’s Legacy Through Kindness

At Columbia Family Chiropractic, we believe that caring for our community goes beyond health and wellness. It’s also about supporting one another, showing kindness, and coming together when someone needs it most. That’s why we’re proud to share the story of SpreadJoy and the meaningful mission behind this organization.

In 2017, Lindsay was diagnosed with metastatic cervical cancer. Throughout her journey, Lindsay and her family experienced an incredible outpouring of love, encouragement, and generosity that carried them through some of their most difficult days. The kindness they received made a lasting impact on their family and inspired Lindsay to find a way to pay that kindness forward.

Just one month before Lindsay passed away in 2020, she founded SpreadJoy with one simple mission: to make sure that others facing illness, loss, or unexpected hardship know they are not alone. What began as a way to honor the kindness Lindsay and her family received has continued to grow into a meaningful organization dedicated to helping others during some of life's most challenging moments.

Today, SpreadJoy provides care packages, financial assistance, and thoughtful acts of kindness to individuals and families who need support. Through these efforts, SpreadJoy continues Lindsay’s legacy by turning compassion into action and reminding people that their community is there for them.

This September, we have an opportunity to come together and help continue that mission. The SpreadJoy Charity Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, at WildeWood Country Club. Whether you choose to play in the tournament, become a sponsor, or simply help spread the word, your support makes it possible for SpreadJoy to continue helping people when they need it most.
